What is Holistic Nutrition?

By definition, holistic nutrition, and by expansion, a holistic health approach, strives to bring balance to all aspects of a human being: physical, mental and emotional. At a fundamental level, holistic nutrition focuses on the biochemistry of the human body, and recognizes the importance of creating balance where imbalances exist.

  • I've struggled with eating healthy for many years, but playing sports always kept my weight at a normal level. However, as I got older, I stopped playing sports and started cooking for myself. I only made the things I liked and didn't know how to make a balanced healthy meal, so I began to gain weight rapidly. Finally, after many years of struggling I decided to reach out to a Nutritionist. I am an extremely picky eater and I rarely try new foods so I was worried that setting up a meal plan for me would be a difficult task. Tristan had no problem putting together a combination of foods that she thought I would enjoy, and even got me to try a couple new things. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of healthy new meal and snack options that I love! Unfortunately, the very first day that I started my meal plan I injured my ankle so I was unable to move around much or workout. Even though I was relatively sedentary, I was still able to lose 10 pounds within the first 2 weeks! I would definitely recommend Tristan, she is very easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and eager to answer any questions you may have. I will definitely continue to work with her in the future!

  • I contacted Cathy in may of 2016 . I am type 2 diabetic. My dr told me our next course of action was to add insulin to the already 9 pills to control my diabetes. Cathy told me she could help.
