  • We went to a kids cooking workshop and it was fantastic! I think I'm all versed in nutrition but still learned quite a bit from Cathy. Kids from age 3 to the teens were all engaged and loving it. We would love to go to more workshops and highly recommend!

  • I began seeing Cathy over 4 months ago as I suffer from severe IBS and needed to do something to improve my quality of life. Cathy has been a true life changer! With Cathy's guidance, my health has had a huge turnaround; I have had weeks with no IBS symptoms (as long as I follow her amazing meal plans), not to mention improved energy levels and quality of sleep. Cathy has been there every step of the way to help me achieve my health goals with her knowledge, support, and encouragement. I truly could not have done it without her. Thank you, Cathy!

  • Cathy is so knowledgeable, kind, generous with her time, and nonjudgmental. She has helped me immensely over the last year to change my lifestyle to healthier eating habits and in doing so, my health has improved and I have enjoyed further weight loss. I started listening to Cathy when she offered grocery store tours and from that point on, I have learned so much. I have also recommended her to several friends who have been overwhelmed with gratitude at what she has taught them and with how much their health has improved. Thank you Cathy, you are a gift!

  • I contacted Cathy in may of 2016 . I am type 2 diabetic. My dr told me our next course of action was to add insulin to the already 9 pills to control my diabetes. Cathy told me she could help. I started my healthier eating and now march 2017, I am down almost 50 lbs and my diabetes is under control without insulin and only 5 pills now. She is my rock !

  • Cathy is by far the best nutritionist I've ever been to. Even now that I've moved away from Sarnia she still welcomes me to email her if I have any problems, questions or concerns. She is amazing!

  • I was Cathy's client about a year ago. I lost weight, but more importantly I gained more energy. And that was what I was after - I was tired of being tired. Within two and a half weeks I found the energy I thought I had lost forever. I haven't seen her for a while and sure enough I'm back to bad habits and zero energy. I'd definitely work with her again. Her support and encouragement match her nutritional knowledge.

  • Cathy taught me a different way of eating to help me lose weight. It isn't so much a diet as it is a new way of eating so you don't miss out on all the your favourite foods. She is passionate about what she does and only wants to help people reach their goals. Highly recommend taking a leap of faith with Cathy. You won't be disappointed.

My name is Tristan and I’m a Registered Holistic Nutritionist based in Sarnia, Ontario but I work with women across Canada and around the globe. My most recent areas of study include certification through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where I proudly graduated with Merit of Distinction. As a Holistic Practitioner, I provide a complementary approach to conventional health care that emphasizes education as well as personal responsibility for health. I am trained to assess and properly address or correct specific nutritional imbalances and to devise a customized nutritional protocol that supports an individual's health and nutritional needs. Each person is biochemically unique so I base your custom protocol on things such as your food preferences, intolerances or sensitivities, lifestyle and genetic predispositions.

When working together, I develop a unique protocol based on your current concerns, but teach you step by step how to make positive changes that will last a lifetime. I provide you with a clear, achievable, action plan, guide you through the process of transformation, support you to stay on track, and provide the accountability that is required to succeed long term.

The foods we eat can determine whether we play into, reverse, or fight disease, aging, and weight issues. By giving your body the nutrients it needs to thrive, you are setting yourself up for optimal health, which means increased energy, weight loss, greater mental health and an over-all feeling of well-being. That being said, different diseases, imbalances, and ailments require a unique combination of supporting nutrients, which is where I can help. Most of my clients have been led astray by the the “healthy” low-fat, low cholesterol diet and “quick fix” weight loss programs recommended by magazines, TV shows and Instagram detox tea ads, which have actually made them fatter and sicker. I aim to provide my clients with education and support that will allow for permanent change to make their future years the healthiest years.

As a new mother myself, I understand the importance of trusted, high quality, evidence-based health care for both you and your family. I understand how important it is to be armed with knowledge and confidence throughout the journey into motherhood and beyond. I also understand what it is like to try to live healthy in a busy world, where our environments (and wallets) aren't always supportive of making healthy choices.

MY PHILOSOPHY: Loving ourselves and reaching optimal health means nourishment, not punishment. Of course the goal is to eat well, exercise, sleep, meditate, etc. but we also want to share wine with friends and eat ice cream with our kids. Healthy living doesn’t have to mean deprivation, and deprivation is not sustainable. My approach is aimed towards finding balance that can be maintained for a lifetime, not “all or nothing” extremes. I follow the 80/20 rule and encourage my clients to as well. 80% of the time, I eat well, sleep well, exercise and make time for self-care. 20% of the time I throw caution to the wind and eat that pizza, drink that wine and feel no guilt about it. One salad won’t make you healthy and one slice of cake won’t kill you, it’s all about how you spend the majority of time, and simply, enjoy life!

  • I went to see Tristan because I knew I wanted to make some healthier decisions with my eating habits. I was worried to be honest and felt ashamed because the last few years I've been back to some old bad habits like binge eating in the evening, craving and eating candy and not getting enough exercise.  Tristan was kind, supportive and didn't judge. She made me feel like she understood my lifestyle and gave me a few manageable healthy lifestyle changes I could implement right away. I felt optimistic and was happy I had found someone that didn't make 'getting healthy' so daunting. It's been a few months now and my energy levels have skyrocketed, I don't crave sweets the way I use to and my clothes fit me better. She has celebrated with me and been an awesome source of knowledge about food pairings and how to nourish your body properly. I wish I would have found her and started a few years ago!

  • I've struggled with eating healthy for many years, but playing sports always kept my weight at a normal level. However, as I got older, I stopped playing sports and started cooking for myself. I only made the things I liked and didn't know how to make a balanced healthy meal, so I began to gain weight rapidly. Finally, after many years of struggling I decided to reach out to a Nutritionist. I am an extremely picky eater and I rarely try new foods so I was worried that setting up a meal plan for me would be a difficult task. Tristan had no problem putting together a combination of foods that she thought I would enjoy, and even got me to try a couple new things. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of healthy new meal and snack options that I love! Unfortunately, the very first day that I started my meal plan I injured my ankle so I was unable to move around much or workout. Even though I was relatively sedentary, I was still able to lose 10 pounds within the first 2 weeks! I would definitely recommend Tristan, she is very easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and eager to answer any questions you may have. I will definitely continue to work with her in the future!
